Branch committees run their local branch of Butterfly Conservation and its activities, and in order to do that committee members attend regular meetings and take part in committee decisions.
Non-committee members also play an active role in running the branch activities.
The committee currently consists of 13 members.
Julian has been a member for several years and has been our secretary for a couple of years .
Nick joined the committee in summer 2021
Sue has produced the Arion, our branch magazine for several years
Ross is the Branch Butterfly Records Coordinator & County Butterfly Recorder (for Somerset VC5 & VC6)
As well as Transect Coordinator, Peter is also joint Honorary Warden for two of our BC Reserves.
John is joint Honorary Warden with Peter for our Stoke Camp & Westbury Beacon Reserves
Tony is also joint Honorary Warden with his wife Anna for our Mount Fancy Reserve
Charlotte joined the committee in 2020 and is Honorary Warden for our Haddon Moor Reserve
Jen looks after our branch website and our 'In Your Area' page on the Butterfly Conservation website.
She also coordinates the Social Media platforms with others
As well as our Branch website, we also have a branch page on the Butterfly Conservation website.
Jen looks after both of these.
Our Facebook page is used as a 'News page'.
Jen & Sue tend to look after the Facebook page.
Simon Phelps also helps out occassionally
We set up an Instagram account, but we haven't posted anything.

Penny Wills looks after our branch Twitter account most of the time.
Jen provides back up cover as required and will post branch news.
Associate Committee Members may attend regular Branch committee meetings if/when they wish, but they do not have a vote on committee decisions.
