 Photos must have been taken during 2025 in the Somerset & Bristol area

  1.   (except for the last two categories which can be anywhere in the world, but still in 2025)

Entries (closed)

The Members' Day photo competition is open to all Somerset & Bristol BC branch members.

You can submit 1 photo per category (taken in 2025). 

The five categories are: Butterflies, Moths, Immature stages, Out of Area/Overseas and Images taken on a mobile phone.

Entries should be submitted by email by 31st October

View and vote (closed )

Entries will be displayed anonymously in a gallery on this website.  (link to gallery)

The viewing and voting period will open on Mon 3rd Nov.

We invite all Somerset & Bristol BC branch members to view the entries and place a vote.

The voting period will close at 9pm on Sunday 9th November.

Finalists

The photos with the most votes will be displayed as finalists at the Members' meeting on Saturday 15th  November 2025.

Those attending the Members' day meeting at Draycott Memorial Hall will vote for the overall winner.

Winner

The overall winning photo will be announced at the meeting and the winning photographer will receive a prize.

The winner & finalists photographs will be published in The Arion (branch magazine).

Terms and Conditions

By submitting a digital photo, you agree to the image being added to the Photo Competition Gallery on the branch website.

The winner & finalists photographs will be published in The Arion (branch magazine).

The winner & finalists photographs may be used on the branch Social Media sites.
